Ortho-Bionomy® is a gentle body work that has its roots in Osteopathic medicine. The principles of Ortho-Bionomy®are based the philosophy: "Allow the body to correct itself."

As an Ortho-Bionomy® Practitioner, Jennifer Hickel uses techniques to help a body find comfort in discomfort and change the patterns that have developed in the body that may be causing pain.  Ortho-Bionomy® Practitioners use gentle body movements and positions to help the body release patterns of stress within the body.
This non-forced work allows the body to respond quickly.  This work is gentle enough that it can be used with small children and so effective that it can be used with larger bodies, like horses.

Our team is works with horses, dogs and their people.

Ortho-Bionomy® for People

Ortho-Bionomy® stimulates the body's reflexes for self-correction and supports the body's own healing process.  This is done with gentle, sometimes subtle movements, comfortable body positions, gentle compression, and light contact.  Clients often experience seemingly effortless relief from pain and tension, natural re-alignment, relaxation, and deep sense of well being.

Ortho-Bionomy® for Animals

Horses can be companions and athletes.  No matter your style of riding, when your horse's body is in better balance you will have a better ride.  When your horse is more physically comfortable, they will be more willing and able to do the work.  This improves the quality of your time under saddle and your relationship with your horse.

Many dogs play hard. With play and even normal use of their body, a dog may need support to help them feel healthy, happy and comfortable.
